An opinion poll conducted by the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) on Twitter on September 12, 2020 has shown that the New Patriotic Party, led by President Nana Akufo Addo, will win the December elections by 51%.
Of the 9,386 respondents conducted on September 12, 2020, the NPP scored 51%, while the NDC under John Dramani Mahama scored 49%.
There was a direct question as to which political party can be trusted when it comes to fulfilling the promises in your manifesto based on fulfilling the promises in your previous manifesto.
Most voters trust the NPP rather than the NDC, as reflected in the final results of the IEA polls.
Monitoring by Voiceless Media has revealed that the PNP has stayed true to Ghanaians and has actively delivered on most of the promises in its manifesto.
SHS’s free education was an important campaign promise that was fulfilled in the PNP’s first year. Assignments for teachers and nurses that were also promised in the 2016 PNP manifesto have also been delivered.
Other pledges from the nuclear power plant such as One Village One Dam and 1D1F are underway as promised.
President Nana Addo and the PNP have also delivered on the promise to create new Regions in Ghana and have also restored peace to Dagbon by facilitating the enskinment of a new Yaa Naa.
Some political observers who spoke to Voiceless Media praised the PNP for introducing the Zongo Development Ministry and the historic Tamale Exchange, which is the first of its kind in the five Northern Regions.
