Kennedy Agyapong, an Assin Central member of parliament, has expressed anger at the fact that contractors for the nuclear power plant were denied contracts in the party’s first term, but former President Jerry John Rawlings were given multiple contracts.
The nonconformist politician who believes the PNP leadership and those appointed by the president were not fair to party members in the party’s first term said he was shocked when he realized that Rawlings had contracts.
He said that when Rawlings coughs, Akufo-Addo appointees would run for reasons unknown to him.
“Honestly, some things make me mad. Even Rawlings received contracts in our first term. Several things baffle me, especially about the way we treat the party. Look at the work Akufo-Addo did, Akufo-Addo can’t do everything himself, that’s why he named these people, but they worked to satisfy his arrogance. “
The lawmaker and businessman said that, in addition to Rawlings, other people who are known members of the NDC opposition received contracts at the expense of PNP members whose monies were used to fund the party.
He believes that as part there is a need to empower your contractors rather than claiming that they are not good because they need to draw on the experience of the jobs.
The Assin Central Member of Parliament gave an indication that in 2020, party members will not tolerate any form of arrogance from those appointed.
