The Madamfo Ghana Foundation, a charity, has provided a mechanized well for the people of the Nkwantapong community in the Bosome-Freho district.

The provision of the mechanized well has ended the old water problem that people in the community face.

People, mostly children and women, have had to walk long distances to fetch water in some nearby communities.

The plight of the people, which was highlighted by the media, caught the attention of the Madamfo Ghana Foundation, which came to the aid of the people.

Yaw Danso, Bosome Freho District Executive Director, praised the Foundation for helping people in the community.

He said that the provision of the mechanized well had solved one of the biggest challenges facing people in the community as it would end their daily fight for clean water.

Mr. Danso said that the district assembly was working hard to address the development challenges facing people in the district.

Mr. Enoch Sunday Attipoe, Deputy Country Director of the Madamfo Ghana Foundation, praised the media for bringing to the public the plight of people in the community.

He said that once the water challenge is solved, the Foundation will turn its attention to building a block of classrooms for the Nkwantapong community to allow children access to quality education.
