Newcastle’s Emil Krafth STOPS on £ 2.7 million move to Istanbul Basaksehir after starting against Arsenal – Ghana Latest football news, live scores, results

Newcastle winger Emil Krafth has stalled on a £ 2.7m transfer to Istanbul Basaksehir after he started against Arsenal on Monday.

Reports earlier this month claimed the Turkish club was closing in on the Swedish defender, who has not been a regular in Steve Bruce’s starting eleven this season.

However, after Krafth played 90 minutes in a 3-0 loss to the Gunners this week as Bruce made the changes, the right-back is considering staying at the club he has been at since 2019.

The 26-year-old, who moved to St James’ Park for £ 5 million from French Amiens SC 18 months ago, has made five appearances in the Premier League this season.

Krafth has often found himself acting as an endorsement of American DeAndre Yedlin in his time in Newcastle thus far, hence the speculation linking him to a move this month.

But the player himself is now weighing all his options after his first league start on Monday since December 12.

He will be hoping to play in the next Magpies clash at Aston Villa in the league on Saturday night as Bruce’s team aims to find the shape they so badly need.
