Flagger of the PPP, Brigitte Dzogbenuku says that the absence of the party’s founder, Dr. Kwesi Nduom in the upcoming elections has not affected the party’s performance.

Speaking in an interview, Brigitte Dzogbenuku said that after Dr. Nduom decided to take a step back, the mantle of leading was passed on to her.

“The PPP is a growing party and Dr. Nduom as a human being is growing and decided not to continue doing this. He is no longer in a position to do so and has asked me to take over, ”he said.

According to the standard-bearer, there is a chance to be victorious in the 2020 general election.

She believes that her gender gives her an edge in the minds and hearts of voters.

“I am very optimistic because I know that Ghanaians want change. I’m getting a lot of support from all kinds of people who believe that something has to change and that this is something new. We say we are a new kind of leadership. “

He said that the two main political parties in the country have not kept their promises to the ordinary citizen, so they would not be the preferred option in the December elections.

“People want a third force because people have realized that the two great parties are two sides of the same coin, so they want a third force.

“There is so much hopelessness and despondency, and they are always throwing their hands in the air that there is nothing else to do. They just want something different because Ghana can’t go on like this, ”he added.

Despite his assurance, he said the party has not been accommodating and would reach out to Ghanaians to preach the PPP vision.

“We are on social networks and we have gone to some places with the aim of going to the 16 regions. Then Ghanaians will see us in their regions asking for their votes. We will continue to campaign and appeal to them, ”he said.
