Johnson Asiedu Nketia, secretary general of the Democratic National Congress (NDC), has predicted that the party would win the presidential election by 57% on December 7.

He said the prediction was based on the party’s policy proposals contained in the Popular Manifesto, which were superior and resonated well with the people.

Mr. Asiedu Nketiah stated this in a speech read on his behalf by Mr. Sylvester Mensah, a prominent member of the NDC, during the opening of the Cadres and NDC Activists Conference in Tamale on Saturday.

The one-day conference, organized with the support of Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, a German organization, and attended by NDC Cadres from the five northern regions, was to take stock of the national democratic revolution thus far and to devise strategies for the way forward for the game’s victory in December.

It was on the theme: “Building the ideological capacity of cadres for progressive politics in Ghana.”

The country will go to the polls on December 7, in a highly contested election where the current president, Nana Akufo-Addo, on the New Patriotic Party’s ballot, seeks re-election and former President Mahama, on the NDC ballot. , is preparing a return.

NDC flag bearer John Mahama, whose message was delivered by Alhaji Hudu Yahaya, a prominent NDC member, said a lot of work needed to be done at the grassroots level, and called on the NDC cadres to use their influence to carry out polls vote for the party at the lower level.

He recognized the political conscience of NDC Cadres and urged them to volunteer as electoral agents during the elections to ensure that the party was not misled during the elections.

Antwi-Boasiako Sekyere, group coordinator of the Cadres Activists Conference and NDC, said the government’s actions were rather hurting people, who longed for change.

He called on the Cadres to effectively support the party’s campaign activities.
