John Daramani Mahama (JM), the standard-bearer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has assured party supporters in Yendi and Ghana as a whole that the NDC will win 60 percent of the seats in Parliament in the elections on 7 September. December 2020.

The standard bearer, Mr. John Mahama, gave the security at a rally in Yendi of the North Region as part of his tour of the North Region.

He said that when they were in power, they built a pharmacy block in Yendi municipal hospital, built 14 CHPS complexes in various communities in Yendi constituency, built a three-story lockable shop building in Yendi to improve the economy of the people, a modern building Truck park on the Yendi-Gushegu road, Construction of the eastern corridor road, which employed young people.

He announced that the next NDC administration would introduce the Big Push to Create Jobs, a manifesto that would convince Ghanaians to vote for NDC to win 60 percent of the seats in parliament, citing the Yendi constituency as one of them.

He said the NDC government will set up a Farmer Mechanization Center in Yendi with 15 tractors, combine harvesters and other agricultural inputs for the farmers and urged them to register for tractors to plow and pay only after harvesting their crops.

He said that free secondary education was good and that no one would change it, but to improve it and that is why the NDC government considered building 200 community day schools that were abandoned by the NPP government.
He said private schools would also benefit from SHS’s free education and end the dual track, if they return to power.
Mr. John Mahama said they had three major projects for Yendi, comprised of a new hospital, under the big push, designing and expanding Yendi’s water system and creating jobs for young people in the police service, the Forestry Commission, among others.

He promised that his next government would adequately equip security to curb the crime wave in the country.
