NDC vs The Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo and Family Party (NADAFP)

On December 7, 2020, Ghanaians will vote for the next President of the Republic in power. The contest is clearly for the proven NDC president, John Dramani Mahama, of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Akuffo-Addo and Family, and not for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

As a high point for other Ghanaians, Ghana appears to be ruled by the president and his close family clique. Experienced members of the NPP core have had no place in his government. PNP infantrymen feel widely ignored and marginalized. The promises of the 2016 presidential campaign were not kept, and the promises of 2020 cannot be kept either. Your greatest asset, the SHS initiative, can take advantage of tremendous improvements. We should never accept half-hearted promises from any political party again. No, Ghana first!

Also, how many districts in Ghana have actually seen a factory built by this family-based administration? This is another key strategic priority of the president and a campaign promise that he failed to deliver. A great joke, right? Ghanaian fellows, let’s wake up and be true to ourselves. If you don’t see a factory in your district that employs young people and improves the standard of living for the citizens of your district, VOTE! If we can!

It is time to hand over the affairs of our government to a credible political party, NDC (the People’s Party), and not let the president and his family make promises they cannot keep. Ghanaian comrades, let’s get it out!

As an individual, I respect the President very much. Actually, I like it (… but I like Ghana better). Unfortunately, his administration is nothing like a representative government.

This presentation only seeks to point out points of interest to Ghanaians and to encourage everyone, from all parties, to vote for the NDC where the face of the government really looks like ‘the people’s party’.

Looking back over the past few years, no administration has added to Ghana’s infrastructure like the governments led by NDC and former President Mahama have.

Before I begin to list the compelling accomplishments of President Mahama, given the events of the past few days, let me take a moment to acknowledge the late President Jerry John Rawlings, affectionately known as JJ Rawlings, and Papa J, who played vital roles in the NDC. . , notably as party founder and president of the Republic of Ghana for two terms.

The nation takes a moment to pause and acknowledge His Excellency Jerry John Rawlings for his undeniable contribution to Ghana’s young democracy. The soul of our nation has experienced a very sad blow and great loss. We mourn the loss of an extraordinary son from Ghana. May your soul rest in perfect peace.

Indeed, honoring the late President Rawlings requires a visit down the memory lanes of 1979 and 1981. The intrepid, fearless and fearless young flight lieutenant of the Ghanaian Armed Forces made a connection between economic expansion and existing inequalities in against ‘WE THE PEOPLE’.

Together with his comrades, JJ Rawlings sought to correct the dogma of brutal corruption and political injustice committed against powerless ordinary Ghanaians, “We the people”, for the most part. The events that took place through deep and consequential uprisings in 1979 and 1981 were inevitable.

However, shortly after Flight Lieutenant JJ Rawlings came to power, he encountered a multiplicity of ideologies and social patterns under which he would soon learn that moving the nation toward prosperity would require embracing democracy.

In JJ Rawlings’ quest to embrace democracy, which he did admirably, he later partnered with civilians (a mix of Nkrumahists, progressives, and many from all corners of Ghana) to start the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as its Founder. and subsequently moved to win two consecutive elections.

Since then, Ghana has been ruled by both the NDC and the New Patriotic Party (PNP) with notable peaceful transitions of power from an administration to an opposition political party, a testament to President Rawlings’ commitment to democracy.

I acknowledge that there are different views and feelings about JJ Rawlings during his military youth. For those of you who have complaints, and rightly so, I understand why mistakes were made. May I take this opportunity to humbly apologize on your behalf for the military operations against those you then perceived as your enemies during your young military days? May I also ask the nation to take the time to pray for healing?

However, as a civilian, President JJ Rawlings’ contribution and provision to and for Ghana within the country and internationally, which Ghanaians of all political parties celebrate and enjoy today, are undeniable. For the sake of Mother Ghana, these achievements are worth celebrating for generations to come. May our good God continue to be our sole judge and lead us all forward, improving our relationships as children of one country, Mother Ghana.

In recent years, no administration has added to Ghana’s infrastructure like the NDC and President Mahama have. Notable accomplishments include HEALTH, in which President Mahama invested heavily. Under his supervision, Ridge Hospital was transformed into the Greater Accra Regional Hospital. Legon Hospital expanded and strengthened. The National Health Insurance Plan (NHIS) was made available to those who needed the services in it.

In EDUCATION, he built nearly two thousand projects for elementary schools and financed logistics for schools and even proceeded with plans for a progressive free SHS pathway.

On ENERGY, President Mahama recognized the nation’s failure to meet its generating capacity and moved to add more megawatt units to increase capacity to support high consumption patterns and make light available to homes and companies across the country.

Under this energy for all program, the NDC successfully connected nearly three thousand communities to the national grid, adding almost 80% of Ghanaians connected to the national grid.

On CORRUPTION, President Mahama’s administration investigated corruption allegations more than any government in our nation’s history. It did very well to remedy the complaints that led to the majority of the investigated cases.

Ghanaian colleagues, a close look at our national infrastructure and modernization efforts clearly reveals that with the exception of the previous infrastructure built by Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the NDC-related administrations have been the only ones to add and modernize the old ones. infrastructure of Ghana.

While President Mahama and his NDC administration are prepared to complete all viable projects started by previous administrations credibly geared towards improving our nation’s development goals, they would further complete the sustainable development projects that were started and stopped by the current administration for no reason.

The NDC can be better trusted to handle government affairs and ensure that our nation’s funds are not wasted on political priorities rather than national priorities for “We the People.”

Finally, President Mahama and the NDC have always recognized, and continue to do so, that political opponents are not enemies, and seek to maintain and enhance unity among Ghanaians, and further ensure that “WE THE PEOPLE” are reminded that We are all Ghanaians, and “We the People” are assured of a sustainable continuum in which the equitable distribution of our national wealth and participation in the decision-making process are paramount.

PRESIDENT MAHAMA SHARES OUR VALUES.

The NDC is better positioned to build a more efficient and functional government, as enjoyed in developed countries. We will use robust technologies and functional expertise to integrate and interoperate government functions that would increase efficiency, quality, productivity and actually increase services to citizens exponentially. NDC’s approach to enabling the flow of information through government is robust, enhanced, and distributed.

Ghanaian comrades, the progressive efforts of the NDC are the only pragmatic path that will surely gravitate our nation towards ‘developed nation status’ in our lifetime.

Ghanaians stand ready to give President Mahama the mandate to once again lead our nation to continue his transformative initiatives for our beloved country.

“WE THE PEOPLE” continue to rely on NDC leadership to hold Ghanaians together, reach out to the opposition to find common ground, work to continue developing our nation, and do it TOGETHER!

Finally, I would like to remind Ghanaians that this choice is between the NDC and the “Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo and Family Party (NADAFP)”, not with the NPP. Vote for a true national party, the NDC, and not for the “NADAFP.”

Ghana is ready for President Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on December 7, 2020. LET’S MAKE IT HAPPEN! If we can!
