Addressing Gomoa Nyanyanor fishermen in the Gomoa East constituency on the first day of his five-day tour of the Central Region, Mahama observed that fishing inputs, including the distribution of fishing nets and fuel premix, they have been kidnapped by supporters of the ruling. party after the politicization of the sector by the government.

He said that in order to help promote the growth of the fishing sector; The next NDC government will ensure that fishermen take charge of the distribution of the premixed fuel by forming landing beach committees.

Mahama said: “Fishing nets and outboard motors will also be supplied to fishermen at a very affordable price.”

He also said that the next NDC government will establish a salt factory in Gomoa Nyanyanor to create jobs for unemployed youth in the area.

Mr. Mahama further mentioned that the abandoned road network in the constituency will be built by the next NDC government.

Therefore, he urged the electorates to vote for him and the NDC parliamentary candidates in the December 7 general election to enable him to implement free primary health care for all, provide jobs and a state-sponsored National Apprenticeship Program, among others.
