Mahama said that under the NDC Agriculture Sector Transformation Agenda, the next NDC government will invest in modern agricultural mechanization centers to facilitate the work of farmers. He added that farmers will be able to access the services of the mechanization center to work on their farms by paying a token or on credit and paying after harvesting their crops.
Regarding medical care, Mr. Mahama promised to build a completely new district hospital that will provide free primary care. Explain that NDC’s free primary care plan aims to remove cost as a barrier to medical care.
Therefore, he urged the people of Wenchi to vote for the NDC in the upcoming general election on December 7, 2020 to allow his next administration to implement policies aimed at ensuring prosperity for all Ghanaians and not for a privileged few.
Speaking on behalf of the Acting Chairperson of the Wenchi Traditional Council, Nana Adinkra Kosopre III, the Council’s Okyeame, Nana Akyeamehene Adisi Poku Kofiabe lamented the lack of development in the Wenchi area despite being one of the oldest cities in the Bono region.
He mentioned basic social infrastructure such as schools, roads, and health facilities, among others, as some of the things they lack.
Therefore, Nana Adisi prayed that NDC presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama would be the winner of the December 7 presidential election to allow him to bring development to the people of Wenchi and its surroundings.
