The founder and CEO of the Daquah Institute, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, criticized the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for describing the Agyapa deal as shady.
The private attorney said the NDC lacks a campaign message, hence its focus on the Agyapa deal.
“NDC is so devoid of ideas and a message that they believe that focusing on Agyapa is what could save their campaign without features,” he said in a tweet.
His comment follows strong opposition from the NDC against the Agyapa Royalty Agreement.
Among other things, the NDC has described the deal as “murky.”
The party’s general secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, in a press release on Tuesday described the deal as a “robbery in the light of day,” following a Corruption Risk Assessment Report on the Agyapa deal by the Office. of the Special Prosecutor.
NDC is so devoid of ideas and a message that they believe focusing on Agyapa is what could save their featureless campaign. Ghanaians mo nsempa! Why demonstrate now if you are sure you will win 2020 with a majority in Parliament to cancel it? The president says there is no movement until the elections are over

In the report, the Special Prosecutor established that there was a reasonable suspicion of manipulation activity and corruption in the selection process of the agreement.
He added that when analyzing the transaction document, he found that the arrangements lacked transparency.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia proceeded to instruct the Special Prosecutor to prosecute those found guilty in the deal, as President Akufo-Addo has not acted on it.
But reacting to this, Asare Otchere-Darko believes that the incessant shouting against the deal is due to the lack of a campaign message from NDC.
“Why demonstrate now if you are sure you will win 2020 with a majority in Parliament to cancel it? The president says there is no movement until the elections are over, ”he added.
