Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has accused the opposition Democratic National Congress (NDC) of fueling economically destructive ideas ahead of the December 2020 general election.

While asking for votes for the party’s parliamentary candidate for the Odododiodio constituency, Nii Lante Bannerman, Dr. Bawumia maintained that development under the NDC does not compare to that of the PNP over the past 4 years.

“When we talk about ideas for developing the economy for job creation, those ideas come from the PNP, and when we talk about ideas for collapsing an economy and creating unemployment, those ideas come from the NDC.

So if you want to go forward, go with the NPP, if you want to go backward, go with the NDC, ”he said.

The vice president also mentioned during his regional tour of Greater Accra that the ruling party should be entrusted with a second term due to various plans including securing employment opportunities for the country’s citizens.

“We ask you not to go back to John Mahama and the NDC because they only have ‘dumsor’ and unemployment for us. Under them, we cannot pay school fees and the National Health Insurance Plan (NHIS) will not work.

That is why we need the PNP in office, to generate employment in the country, “he said.

He attributed ongoing projects such as the Jamestown Habour, ‘one-district-one-warehouse’, the Salaga market and the two artificial turf stadiums at Odododiodio to Nii Lante Bannerman’s competition, and called for a vote in favor of the continuation of such development.
