The finance spokesman for the 2020 opposition Democratic National Congress (NDC) manifesto says that according to the NDC, Ghanaians will not have to pay the cost of all the free initiatives included in their manifesto through taxes.

Fifi Kwetey said, among other measures, that the party, when elected to power, will seek to dedicate oil resources to ensure that the country’s most urgent needs are met.

Speaking to Joy News, Mr. Kwetey said: “We already have opportunities to raise funds for the facilities without necessarily overburdening citizens.”

The Ketu South MP also opined that the NDC’s past performance is a model for its new goal for the nation and that the efficiency of an administration led by Mahama cannot be questioned.

He argued that during his tenure, the NDC delivered more promises than the current ruling party with relatively few resources.

“We have a track record of being able to deliver a lot with even relatively minor resources,” he said.
