Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has challenged the leaders of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to march against the Airbus scandal and all the scandals that plagued the former administration of former President Mahama if they really believe in probity and responsibility.

Dr. Bawumia’s response was in response to the NDC’s decision to embark on a march for responsibility and accountability in honor of former President Rawlings.

Speaking in Yendi on Saturday after resuming his campaign after a seven-day hiatus in honor of the late former president, Vice President Bawumia criticized NDC leaders for displaying “hypocrisy and dishonesty.”

Dr. Bawumia said, “Considering the well-known disrespect that the NDC leadership showed the late former president when he was alive, as well as the various corruption cases recorded by the Mahama administration, I was amazed at how the NDC leadership he’s pretending to love the former president after her death, and displaying hypocritical guts to march for probity and responsibility in her honor.

“Today, after the death of the former president, may your soul rest in peace, Jerry John Rawlings, they (NDC) are now there saying they are marching in his honor for responsibility and accountability. Where was the probity and responsibility when they were cutting SADA money? “Dr. Bawumia said.

He continued: “They should be marching for the guinea fowl of SADA, not for probity and responsibility; that is the march they should be doing and we will see what responsibility they have given.”

“They should be marching over the bus brand scandal. They should be marching on the Airbus scandal. That is the probity and responsibility that Ghanaians want to see ”.

Vice President Bawumia also recounted instances of disrespect and nicknames that the NDC leadership displayed to the late Jerry Rawlings to reinforce its point of labeling his actions as hypocritical and dishonest.

“When John Rawlings was alive, they were not marching for probity and responsibility. They were disrespecting him, ”Dr. Bawumia said.

“They called him the barking dog, the Volta dog. Is that not the case? They were disrespecting him and got babies with sharp teeth to attack him. “

“Today, now that he is dead, they say they are marching for probity and responsibility. Their march should be called the march of hypocrisy and dishonesty. “

“That is the party they should be marching, hypocrisy and dishonesty.”

Dr. Bawumia, speaking during the commissioning of classrooms and a dormitory block at Yendi Senior High School, told the meeting and students that the Akufo-Addo government is a government that has met its promises, including the protection of education for all Ghanaians. children.

“The government of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is the government that is keeping its promises. Without the government of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, we will not have free SHS education ”.
