The Democratic National Congress (NDC) has dragged Assin Central Constituency Member of Parliament (MP), Mr. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong to the Ghana Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for threatening some party members.
The outspoken MP from a Net2 TV program allegedly threatened to burn down the houses of Mr. John Dramani Mahama, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah and some other members of the NDC.
Without probably taking the statements of the Assin Central deputy, the NDC Legal Department has filed a complaint with the CID demanding the arrest and prosecution of the legislator.
“The NDC considers such statements and conduct by Kennedy Ohene Agyapong as a threat to the lives and property of the persons named in the preceding paragraph and a potential threat to the peace of this country, and therefore considers it necessary for his office to assume the matter and carry out the necessary investigations in this regard, ”reads part of the complaint sent to the CID.
He adds: “We take very seriously the conduct of the Member of Parliament for Assin Central in this matter and therefore demand that investigations be launched immediately into such conduct in order to dissipate the arrests of the aforementioned persons and maintain the peace and stability of our country. dear nation.
