The deputy campaign manager of the New Patriotic Party (PNP) says the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) will suffer the worst defeat in its political history during the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections.
Dr. Mustapha Abdul-Hamid said the Mahama-led party will experience a more devastating loss than in 2016.
“The signals being chosen indicate that the defeat of 2020 will be much worse than that of 2016 due to the inferior record of the opposition party in government, the weak campaign machinery and an unattractive standard-bearer suffering from a serious credibility deficit. .
“They also emanate from the absolute superiority of the NPP government in fulfilling its campaign promises, having a credible leader in Nana Akufo-Addo, and relentlessly engaging electorates in all corners of the country to share its message of hope and development. through an efficient field machine, “he said.
The Zongo minister was speaking at a press conference Wednesday when he made these claims.
He also added that the NDC leadership has not accepted projections that Ghanaians will vote against the party during the elections.
“We of the PNP have not been surprised either by the bankruptcy of ideas and the inefficiency that have characterized the NDC campaign.
What is shocking, however, is the plague of self-denial that has prevented the party from accepting that the Ghanaians will overwhelmingly reject them on December 7, 2020.
“Even as credible global institutions have looked into the crystal ball and projected the PNP’s victory in the 2020 general election, the NDC remains adamant that it could mislead Ghanaians into believing its propaganda-laden campaign message.” , He said.
