The Democratic National Congress (NDC) says it will go to court on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 to begin the process of challenging the results of the presidential and parliamentary elections.

This was revealed by the Member of Parliament (MP) for the South Dayi constituency and a member of the NDC legal team, Rockson-Nelson Este Kwami Dafeamekpor.

“Certainly, we (NDC) are going to court. Next Wednesday it should be done, ”he told Accra-based Joy News.

The date for the start of the judicial process will be the last day of the 21 days that an aggrieved political party has to present a judicial appeal.

Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, who reported this on Accra-based Joy News, said there is a perception that the NDC is more focused on parliamentary than presidential elections.

But that is not true because the party needs to prepare very well to be able to challenge the presidential election, that is why the focus has not been placed on it but the political party will question the presidential results.

He indicated that regardless of whether the party goes to court, its protests at the national level will continue unabated because it is also a legal way of insisting on the need to do the right things.
