NDC can only boast 2 factories within its 8 years in office – Bawumia

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has ridiculed the Democratic National Congress (NDC) for not having much to show for his 8 years in office.

According to Dr. Bawumia, the NDC had only built two factories during his tenure.

Speaking on Cape Coast-based Eagle FM Sunday, Dr. Bawumia stated that a critical look at One-District One-Factory policy will show that approximately 76% of the work has been executed, and more are being introduced.

He added that the PNP never made a promise to complete its 2016 manifesto promise by 2020, therefore it has not lied to electorates.

“We never said we would do it all for 2020, we said we will start a program called One district, One factory, and we are still in it, and Ghanaians are happy with our many promises,

“We are sure that in 2-3 years, we would have exhausted all of our manifesto promises, but the NDC can only boast of two factories within its 8 years and for the nuclear power plant, it only took us one term to provide 76% of our 2016 manifest promise, ”he said.

Consequently, Dr. Bawumia reported that voters will vote for the PNP on December 7, 2020, given the party’s determination to continue with the implementation of the development policies it had introduced in 2016.

“Our biggest initiative is the SHS Free policy. They told us it is impossible, but we responded by saying that the funds will be generated when we get to fix the economy.

“We may not see a full impact now, but in another 10 to 15 years, Ghana will be a very different place, because we will have a very educated workforce.”
