The Democratic National Congress (NDC) has announced three days of fasting and prayer for the nation before the December elections.
The party believes that the selection of a leader for the country has some spiritual connotation, a path that can only be achieved with God’s guidance.
As a result, the party will embark on this exercise of “God’s divine intervention to stop the recent wave of armed robberies, murders and other violent crimes that we are witnessing across the country in the run-up to this election of the year “.
In a statement signed by the national president, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the NDC said that the event will begin on Thursday, November 5.
“Above all, the NDC recognizes that it is Almighty God who chooses good leaders for the nations; therefore, the party will be fasting and praying for a resounding victory for our standard bearer and parliamentary candidates in the next elections, ”the statement said.
Prayer meetings will also be held at the party venue on “Saturday and will culminate with a church service on the morning of Sunday, November 8, 2020, at the Royalhouse Chapel International in Accra.”
The event has a theme; “The horse is ready for the day of battle, but victory is in the hands of the Lord” – Proverbs 21:31 “.
