The Supreme Lord of Mamprugu Traditional Area, Nayiri Naa Bohugu Mahami Abdulai Sheriga, honored the Vice President’s Secretary, Augustine Blay, and named him “Maligu Naa” in recognition of his hard work, focus and dedication to the Vice President and the Country.
El Nayiri indicated that Blay was being recognized for his support of the Vice President, hence the presentation of a traditional robe in honor of his work.
The Overlord of Mamprugu Traditional Area also urged him to continue the good works and support of the vice president.
The presentation took place during the inauguration of the House of Chiefs of the Northeast Region in Nalerigu on Wednesday.
Blay, who was decked out in the robe with a matching traditional hat, paid tribute to the Nayiri and his elders for the honor.
“I am very grateful to His Royal Highness, the Nayiri for the recognition and presentation,” said Blay.
“I was pleasantly surprised and I appreciate the recognition from none other than Nayiri. I am deeply honored and humbled. “
Blay dedicated the presentation to the entire staff of the Office of the Vice President, adding that his appreciation by the Nayiri is an affirmation of the hard work of all his colleagues.
