NDC flag bearer’s running mate Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang says the NDC government will ensure a uniform distribution of resources in all parts of the country.
He said this during a courtesy call to Nyinahini’s boss and elders to seek their support in seeking the party’s victory ahead of the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections.
“Equitable development comes down to hard work, and as we all know, NDC is not afraid of hard work.
“But we will need your blessings and advice in order to ensure order. We will need your help to get things done, ”he said.
The head of the community, Nana Amanpene Boateng Twum III, for his part, advised him to make peace his priority while communicating his party’s vision and plans to the people of Ghana.
The visit to Nyinahini on Thursday kicks off the NDC running mate’s six-day campaign tour of the Ashanti region ahead of the December 7 elections.
Also following the Secretary General of the NDC, Asiedu Nketia’s recently completed tour of the Region.
Professor Naana Opoku-Agyemang is expected to visit 20 constituencies across the region, where she will present concrete solutions to their challenges as articulated in the NDC People’s Manifesto.
The Running Mate team includes the 2020 election deputy campaign manager Alex Segbefia, former Deputy Minister of Education Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Deputy Women’s Organizer Maame Efua Houadjeto, and former Western Region Deputy Minister Emelia Arthur .
Others are former Upper West Regional Vice Minister Abu Kansangabata, former Bawku CEF Musah Abdulai, and a former executive director of the Ghana Investment Promotion Center and now spokesperson and chief communications officer for the NDC running mate, Mawuena Trebarh.
