The winner of the 2012 edition of Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB), Emefa Akosua Adeti, has recounted how her joy lasted shortly after the contest.
According to her, the man who had supported her throughout the contest took all the properties he acquired for her after she rejected his marriage proposal.
Sharing your success story on Adom TV M’ashaeye3 show, he said before the contest, he was struggling financially and had no money to buy his forms.
Adeti revealed that although she was passionate about the pageant, it was her friend who helped her.
“I had a friend named Happy who also wanted to represent the Greater Accra region that year, so she bought the forms for her and me.”
“Unfortunately, her dream was cut short because she was not chosen when we went to the auditions and my mother even asked me to withdraw from the race,” she told host Afia Amankwa Tamkaloe.
However, she said over the course of the trip, the man whose proposal she rejected had been so committed to making it the winner.
“He contributed a lot in terms of vote and other support as he gave me everything he had, but in a fraction of a second, he took everything he gave me and that was the most difficult moment of my life,” he added.
Speaking about why she rejected the proposal, Emefa Adeti noted that she was 23 years old at the time and that marriage was not her priority.
Joy Prime’s Prime Morning co-host added that the man was much older and already had a wife.
However, losing her patronage didn’t stop her, Emefa said, stating that it made her stronger and molded her to become the woman she is now.
