Stonebwoy has distanced himself from reports that he has backed NDC’s promise to legalize commercial motorcycle operations, also known as ‘Okada’.
This comes after a video of the Dancehall artist putting on an okada went viral on social media.
But the ‘Mane’ hitmaker has taken to Twitter and revealed that the video, which is circulating on social media, was taken three years ago.
In the video, Stonebwoy, who was filming himself at the Okada, said he was late for a show, so he took the motorcycle to make sure he was early.
“Sometimes you need to join Okada. Too much traffic in the city. Okada is good for people… being late for a concert, ”he had said.
However, he wrote on Twitter that his statements do not mean that he is putting his weight behind any policy.
“I was struck by a video from 3 years ago in which I appeared riding an OKADA. Which is advertised as an endorsement for a political party… I disassociate myself from this, ”she wrote.
A video from 3 years ago in which I appeared riding an OKADA caught my attention. That is advertised as endorsement of a political party.
I disassociate myself from this …
Please, I beg that this IS NOT IN ANY WAY AN ENDORSEMENT FOR ANY POLITICAL PARTY #God BlessedGhana– 1GAD (@stonebwoyb) September 8, 2020
He added that the video is in no way an endorsement of any political party or politics.
