The prosecution said that upon receiving the complainant, the police gathered intelligence that the deceased was last seen at the Gameli shrine located on the outskirts of Adu Kojo, leading to the arrest of Gameli and Adukonu on April 21. of this year.

The Prosecutor’s Office said that during the interrogation, Gameli and Adukonu admitted to having shot the deceased with a bomb-action pistol on January 15 of this year and buried the body in the Sanctuary.

He said that on April 29, the two took police to the Power One spiritual / herbal center, where the police identified the deceased’s grave in a makeshift cemetery behind Gameli’s home.

The prosecution said the crime scene was secured and an exhumation order was obtained from the court for that purpose.

He said that when the grave was dug, the decomposed body of Mr. Quartey-Papafio was removed and the police also discovered that the deceased’s grave was, among others, in the defendant’s cemetery, which had been well fenced.

The prosecution said investigations revealed that on December 29, Gameli, Adukonu and Azamete conspired to kill Mr. Papafio, luring him in with the help of one Buzanga, also a traditional priest in Kasoa.

The prosecution said that before the murder of the deceased, the defendant intentionally made a false statement to the deceased and managed to charge him ¢ 10,650 through mobile money under the pretext of conspiring ¢ 400,000 to boost his business.

He said that Papafio was invited to the shrine on January 15 this year for purification and in the process Adukonu shot him with Gameli’s gun.

The prosecution said the defendant drained a quantity of Mr. Papafio’s blood into a plastic bottle and hid it in the shrine while Gameli took possession of the deceased’s mobile phones and then buried the deceased with the help of Azamate and Michael, who they were also fleeing. .

The prosecution said that Gameli and Adukonu allegedly confessed to the police that the blood in the bottle was a mixture of Papafio and another victim who was also buried among other bodies in the cemetery.

He said the gallon of blood and the body were later deposited in the police morgue for examination.

Mr. Anani said that the author later identified the two mobile phones of the deceased.

The prosecution said the pathologist indicated that the cause of Mr. Papafio’s death was hemorrhagic shock, traumatic amputation, and unnatural severe chest pain.
