Mumbai City FC 3-3 FC Goa: Player Ratings As Islanders, Gaurs Play A Thriller – Ghana Soccer Latest News, Live Scores, Results

[ad_1]

Mumbai City FC and FC Goa drew 1-1 in what was likely the ISL game of the season at GMC Stadium in Bambolim.

With the tie, Mumbai City FC became the first team to qualify for the playoffs this season.

This is how the players fared in the game.

Amrinder Singh – 5/10

Probably Amrinder Singh’s most disappointing performance of the season. The only saving grace is that Dheeraj Singh also conceded three goals.

Amey Ranawade – 6.5 / 10

Ranawade shows the right amount of attacking force a winger needs, and he was great today.

Mourtado Fall – 5.5 / 10

In what was not a field day for either defense, Mouinada Fall was caught out of position in at least two of FC Goa’s goals.

Hernan Santana – 5.5 / 10

Along with Fall, Santana also had a bad game. The mistakes the duo made are not clearly discernible, but are evident in the decisions they made in preparation for goals.

Send Rao Dessai – 6/10

Mandar was full of energy as he usually is, but his deliveries weren’t as accurate as they usually are. He was retired in the second half.

Rowllin Borges – 7.5 / 10

A lion-hearted performance of CDM India. Borges kept going even as he missed a golden opportunity to put Mumbai City FC ahead in the second half. He kept writing down what they thought the winner would be.

Ahmed Jahouh – 7/10

Jahouh Spreads – delicious. Temparement of Jahouh? Time bomb. He controlled the game in midfield to a large extent, but he also had a few moments of indiscipline.

Raynier Fernandes – 6/10

Raynier supported players like Hugo Boumous well in the transition to attack and had one of his best games for the Islanders.

Hugo Boumous – 8/10

Boumous controlled the game with complete ease and scored the first goal of the game after rounding the goalkeeper. He was sent off after FC Goa scored the tying goal.

Bipin Singh-7/10

Bipin’s races in spaces are extremely important in attracting defenders and creating space for players like Adam le Fondre. Today there was a lot of demonstration of that.

Adam Le Fondre – 6.5 / 10

Le Fondre was once again efficient in goal, scoring with probably the only clear chance he had that day to put Mumbai City FC up 2-0.

Dheeraj Singh – 5/10

It was not a day to be a goalkeeper, as Dheeraj conceded three goals. He’s learning the hard way that in ISL where every mistake is magnified.

Seriton Fernandes – 6/10

Seriton is used to quickly releasing the ball when he receives it to keep up with FC Goa’s game, which really helped the Gaurs on the day.

James Donachie – 6.5 / 10

Donachie probably had the best defensive performance of any center back on display in today’s game. His headers kept Mumbai forwards at bay.

Adil Khan – 6/10

It wasn’t Adil Khan’s best day as he failed to score Borges for what Mumbai City FC thought would be the winner. Fortunately, Pandita appeared on the other end to give FC Goa a point.

Salvador Gama – 7/10

It felt like Savior Gama was playing with three lungs, as despite doing several overlapping runs, he didn’t tire one bit. He was extremely important on the wings for FC Goa.

Edu Bedia – 7.5 / 10

Bedia played amazing football that day and, most importantly, he came up with the assist to secure Ishan Pandita’s point. He is a class apart.

Glan Martins – 8/10

Glan Martins scored an amazing long range that he probably won’t forget for the rest of his life. His goal sparked the revival of FC Goa, and his goal earned at least one point.

Alexander Jesuraj – 6.5 / 10

Jesuraj showed dazzling rhythm on the bands today, and gave Amey Ranawade a tough time at times.

Alberto Noguera – 7/10

Noguera creates little triangles in the middle of the park with Ortiz and Bedia, and that kept Mumbai City FC midfield chasing shadows at times.

Jorge Ortiz – 8.5 / 10

Ortiz was the architect of almost everything positive that FC Goa did in an offensive sense, and he was arguably the best player on the field today.

Igor Angulo – 7.5 / 10

Angulo always seems to show up at the right time and scored the goal that made it 2-2. He has made sure that FC Goa does not miss Coro this season.

Substitutes

Ishan Pandita – 7/10

For the third time this season, Ishan Pandita has appeared to score a crucial goal for FC Goa in the closing minutes of the game. He is surely knocking on the coach’s door to get a starting position.
