The Black Stars will face their Sudanese counterparts on Thursday at Cape Coast Stadium in the first leg of the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tournament.
However, Ghana will be without the services of the former Deportivo Alavés midfielder who currently plays for Jiangsu Suning due to tight matches in the Chinese Super League.
Jiangsu Suning will play Guangzhou Evergrande in the second leg of the championship play-off final on the same day that the Black Stars will play Sudan in Cape Coast, hence their inability to appear for Ghana.

Former midfielder AshGold was one of Ghana’s best players during the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
His return to the Black Stars’ midfield will be a huge boost for CK Akonnor’s charges.
The 30-year-old who is a product of the Goldfields Academy represented Ghana at the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship in Peru, playing two games in an eventual exit from the group stage (three draws). He made his full international debut on October 13, 2012, in a 2013 African Cup of Nations qualifying match against Malawi.
He received his first Black Stars call-up in 2012 in a friendly match against Malawi.
Wakaso scored his first goal for Ghana in a friendly with Cape Verde on November 14, 2012. He was chosen for the team that appeared at CAN 2013 in South Africa, in particular, he scored the only goal of the game in a match of the phase of groups against Mali, via a penalty, then scored both in a 2-0 quarter-final victory against Cape Verde.
