Sharing details on the subject, the Ag. MTN CEO Sam Addo explained: “Going digital means eliminating the entire manual and allowing customers to manage their accounts from a simple interface on their mobile, broadband accounts. and MoMo. Customers can, for example, buy packages for their TurboNet, send money with MoMo, or pay for things with MoMo Pay – all from one simple app. We are leveraging new technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence, machine learning to provide a fully automated personalized user experience and self-service options for our customers. ”
The CEO of Ag, highlighted the investments that MTN has made in technology and expansion of the network infrastructure over the years to provide reliable connections. He said that since 2019, around $ 300 million has been invested in network investments to facilitate the deployment of more LTE (4G) sites and also upgrade 3G and 2G sites across the country. “These investments have allowed individuals and businesses in both rural and urban areas to enjoy the benefits of a modern connected life,” he added.
MTN continues to power its digital services through various platforms, including the MyMTN app, ayoba, and Mobile Money.
MTN is optimistic about the digital future as it works to increase the penetration of smartphones in Ghana to allow many more people to enjoy the opportunities identified in mobile and data financial services. With its fiber broadband products and business solutions, MTN is poised to augment home connectivity services that will help support “work from home” customers.
