MTN addresses the Supreme Court for the resolution of SMP’s statement
Telecommunications giant MTN Ghana is in the Supreme Court to request a review of the High Court ruling that annulled its lawsuit against the network’s National Communications Authority (NCA) declaration as a Significant Market Power (SMP).
In a statement issued Sept. 5, MTN said it filed documents on Friday, Sept. 4 in the Supreme Court after careful review of the court’s ruling.
On September 1, 2020, the High Court of Justice (Commercial Division) dismissed the company’s request for judicial review of MTN Ghana’s NCA declaration as SMP.

MTN said that while it respects the decision, the ruling did not address its concerns that “the NCA decision did not meet the requirements of procedural fairness.”
