The Welshman retired at the end of the match. Mourinho later suggested that Bale was still far from starting in the Premier League.
“I took it out 10-15 minutes before the end to save the last few races,” added Mourinho. “He has a lot of positives in his game and of course you can see that there are little things that he has to improve.”

Kane fitness update
The Spurs traveled to Austria without Harry Kane, who stayed home to work on his fitness.
All eyes will be on Tottenham’s talisman ahead of Sunday’s North London derby with Arsenal.
And Mourinho remains cautiously optimistic that Kane is fit to play the game.
While the Spurs have been silent on the nature of the injury, Mourinho did say: “I think [Harry Kane] you will be in shape.
“He’s in treatment, but I could be cheating and pretending he’s in trouble. But it isn’t and I think it will play [against Arsenal]. “
