José Mourinho has been awarded the Premier League Coach of the Month award for November after leading Tottenham to the top of the Premier League.
The Spurs climbed to the top of the table on Matchday 9 and have managed to stay thanks to two wins, first 2-0 against Manchester City and then 2-0 in the derby with Arsenal.
In the other two games they played in November, Tottenham lost just two points, drew 0-0 with Chelsea and beat Brighton 2-1.
“It says manager of the month, but for me it’s the team of the month or the staff of the month because it’s about the players and all these guys who are here with me: the coaches, the assistants, the sports science guys, the analysts and others who are not here but work very hard, ”said Mourinho.
“Thanks for this, but he’s not the manager of the month. He’s the team of the month and the staff of the month.”
Premier League Player of the Month
Meanwhile, Bruno Fernandes was named Premier League Player of the Month, after scoring four goals and assisting another in November.
The Portuguese midfielder helped Manchester United to three victories from four games, their only loss being at the hands of Arsenal.
Fernandes has won this award three times since moving to Manchester United from Sporting CP in January 2020.
