Mourinho Insists Tottenham Will NOT Face An ‘Easy’ Match Streak Over The Next Month – Ghana Latest Football News, Live Score, Results

José Mourinho has rejected the suggestion that Tottenham have upcoming winnable games that could solidify their position in the race for the Premier League title.

According to the 57-year-old Portuguese, there is no ‘easy’ streak in this division, with Tottenham traveling to Wolves on Sunday.

Between now and February, Tottenham will only play a team currently in the top eight in the Premier League: Liverpool at home on January 28.

But Mourinho, who is looking to end a streak of three league games without winning, said: ‘It’s very difficult in this league to have consistent streaks because every game is very difficult.

“We were in a period in which we had to play against the six best teams considered, where we put them in a row. Some people may say that now we are going to have an easier match streak.

‘It’s easier? Go to Wolves and play Fulham and Leeds? It’s not easier. ‘

Harry Kane is scheduled to start at the Wolves with Mourinho believing he is fit enough to handle the workload, even though he will also play for 90 minutes at Stoke in the Carabao Cup.

Mourinho added that his players must accept the challenge of their next matches: ‘This is a league we are in. We should be very happy about it and not sad about it.

‘I need to win three points in the next game and then three in the next. If the next is a Cup, I need to win or we go home and watch the next round on TV.

‘I’m not talking about points (to win the title). I’m talking about going to games and trying to win them. ‘

When asked how impressed he is with Nuno Espirito Santo, Mourinho said: ‘This is a question that I answer for three years in a row!

‘Every time I play Wolves this question comes up.

‘You just have to copy and paste what I say: very good coach, great job, the results are there. You know my answer. He is a very good coach.

‘You look at the table, how can you analyze the coaches with this table, it changes every week, every other game. It’s up and down. ‘
