Juventus, who had already confirmed their place in the round of 16, recorded their fourth victory of the Champions League group stage by beating Dynamo Kiev 3-0 at Allianz Stadium on Wednesday night.
Federico Chiesa scored his first goal for the club when he converted a cross from Álvaro Morata to give Juventus the lead in the first half. Cristiano Ronaldo doubled the lead shortly before the hour, before the Spaniard put the result beyond doubt.
Andrea Pirlo took the opportunity to bring in some fresh faces to the side, with players like Alex Sandro, Rodrigo Bentancur and Weston Mckennie in the starting eleven.
The hosts started the game as expected, dominating possession and pressing the Dynamo Kiev backline and made it count when Morata broke the offside trap and crossed an attractive ball for Chiesa to head into the far corner.
Shortly after, Cristiano Ronaldo smashed the crossbar after a great play down the left by Alex Sandro. However, despite Juventus holding the upper hand in the early stages, Dynamo Kiev rallied towards the end of the opening period, with Wojciech Szczesny stopping Viktor Tsygankov once he held on to a fumble in the area.
Szczesny was called to action shortly after the halftime break, stopping a threatening cross that nearly slipped into the bottom corner. Ronaldo responded immediately on the other end and made it 2-0, converting a fumble at the end of a good play that again involved Morata and Chiesa.
The dangerous pair combined again for the third goal with Chiesa slipping Morata and the Spaniard calmly placed the ball in the corner of the net.
Andrea Pirlo took the opportunity to make some changes with an eye on this Saturday’s Derby della Mole against his rival Torino.
