Arsenal are gearing up for big compensation as they plan to strengthen their squad starting with the current January transfer window.
Coach Mikel Arteta is reportedly set to ditch up to 11 players to create space for newcomers, with as many as eight expected to leave in January.
So far, William Saliba and Sead Kolasinac have been on loan for the remainder of the season and more exit deals are being negotiated.
Mesut Ozil is at the top of the list, with Arteta and Arsenal eager to get him off their books during the current window.
Turkish giants Fenerbahçe are in talks to lead the race for the playmaker, and negotiations are said to be underway to reach an agreement on his salary.
Also joining the list are Sokratis, Sead Kolasinac and Shkodran Mustafi, who are not in Arteta’s plans.
Folarin Balogun, who is in the last six months of his Emirates contract, could also be fired, despite having a promising future.
The forward is joined by two other graduates, Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson, who could be allowed to leave for initial loan deals.
Callum Chambers, who recently returned from a long-term injury, is also said to be expendable, and a decision has yet to be made on Mohamed Elneney.
The Gunners have set their sights on Norwich playmaker Emiliano Buendia, who is seen as the perfect complement to providing the creative spark missing in the middle of the park.
