Everything is set in Mfantseman constituency for the final funeral rites of its slain Member of Parliament (MP), Ekow Quansah Hayford on Saturday 28 November.
Today, Friday, November 27, 2020, it has been dubbed ‘Mfantseman Goes Red’ and has been booked as a night of hymns and tributes in honor of the late deputy at Ebenezer Methodist Church, Mankessim.
Reports indicate that the body will be moved through the main streets of the Mfantseman constituency: Yamoransa, Saltpond, Anomabo, Abeadze Dominase, Baifikrom, Mankessim and Kyeakor.
Finally, it will end on the Abeadze Nkusukum-Duadze road where the incident occurred, to perform some rituals before being transferred to the School Kessim park (AstroTurf) where the body will be deposited in condition.
Later he will be transferred to the Mankessim Cemetery for burial.
Finally, a thanksgiving service will be organized at Ebenezer Methodist Church, Mankessim, on Sunday morning, November 29, 2020, to cap off the funeral.
The late Hayford was shot and killed by unknown assailants while returning from a campaign tour on the Nkusukum Mankessim-Abeadze Duadze Highway in the Central Region around 1:00 am on Friday, October 9, 2020.
