Menzgold’s aggrieved clients have rejected a new offer from the company to liquidate their locked funds with parcels of land.
The embattled gold distribution company is offering parcels of land as a means to pay off debts owed to its clients.
However, clients of the firm who suspect that it is another scam have rejected the offer.
“As a group, we find it quite provocative and outrageous, and we are asking the law enforcement agencies to arrest this gentleman immediately.
“They told us that his assets and bank accounts had been frozen, so where did he get the money to buy land and trade?” a spokesperson for Menzgold’s clients told JoyNews.
Fred Forson, the spokesman, further revealed that customer checks revealed that the portions of land that are used to offset debt cost US $$100,000.
“And for you to acquire that land, you have to make an initial payment of 20,000 GHS so that he can do the issuance contracts and other things,” he added.
He added that clients are not interested in any land, but rather want their money back.
“So if you [Menzgold] we have land, we sell the land and we come to give us our money, ”he said.
In addition, he regretted the poor conditions of most of the clients since their funds were blocked and urged them not to answer the new call.
“We don’t understand why every time NAM 1 dreams of a scam, the people that come to mind are Menzgold’s customers.”
