Meet Emelda Adjei, the journalist who quit her media job to take up carpentry.

Emelda Adjei’s decision to leave the media fraternity to go into a new profession as a carpenter or better yet, carpenter is due to the pursuit of happiness and fulfillment.

One will be surprised to see someone abandon the revered and much admired career in journalism to go on to do what many consider menial work or a job destined for unskilled labor.

Well, you may be wrong to have such an assumption, especially when Emelda Adjei has shown that it feels better to work for yourself than for someone else.

In an exclusive interview with Ghanaweb’s BizTech, she said that an internal desire to pursue carpentry prompted her to do so and that she has never regretted it again.

According to her, although she had no previous knowledge or training in carpentry, she was able to assemble Think of Emmy’s interior décor which has provided employment for other people and that is why Emelda believes that she took the right step.

He admitted the fact that entrepreneurship is a difficult endeavor, but if one is willing and determined to work to see his dream come true, it will definitely work.

Emelda Adjei and her team of employees are specialized in various carpentry disciplines including reupholstery, sofa making, bed pallets, etc. by using old tires.
