Mbappé, Haaland and Real Madrid are destined to reach an understanding – Ghana football latest news, live scores, results

The noise about a possible return of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid seems to have overshadowed the true objective of the club’s transfer market, at least outside the club’s offices.

Within the club, however, the managers are clear that Real Madrid needs a transformation for 2021/22 if the financial situation associated with the coronavirus pandemic improves. If that happens, with the fans returning to the stadiums, then their attention will be on Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland.

The French forward has been linked to Los Blancos for four years and the Norwegian for just over a year, but both are destined to become superstars.

Real Madrid financial situation

In 2019, Real Madrid made a significant investment by spending almost € 300 million on Ferland Mendy, Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Eder Militao and Rodrygo. While it is true that not all these signings have worked as hope, they spent a lot.

Last summer, the pandemic forced Real Madrid to take a cautious approach and did not spend in the transfer market.

Now, the sports situation requires a greater investment, which can come if there is a gradual return to normality and if some members of the current squad move.

The options of Mbappé and Haaland

It is clear that Mbappé and Haaland are the two main targets of Europe’s biggest clubs, and the 22-year-old and the 20-year-old could become the next Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

In the case of Mbappé, MARCA has learned that the contract renewal negotiations with PSG are not going particularly well, so the French club may be forced to put the player on the market this summer before risking losing him for free when his contract ends in 2022.

Real Madrid know that Mbappé admires the club, although this admiration also existed in 2017 when he finally chose PSG.

With Haaland, there is still no proposal. Florentino Pérez has a good relationship with the Borussia Dortmund hierarchy, as with PSG, but that does not entail preferential treatment. However, these contacts will ensure that Real Madrid stay informed of the latest developments with the Norwegian.

His agent Mino Raiola has received calls from several of the biggest clubs in Europe. Barcelona is also interested, although their economic situation makes that transfer almost impossible.

Both Raiola’s father and Haaland are believed to be willing to move to Real Madrid, but are not sure if the time is right. They believe Borussia Dortmund is still a great place for a player who was in Austria a year and a half ago to develop.
