The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has referred Asante Kotoko’s coach Maxwell Konadu to the Disciplinary Committee for comments made against referee Daniel Laryea.
Konadu expressed his disappointment at the referee’s performance, especially in the latter part of the match between his team and Berekum Chelsea last Sunday.
The GFA reminded club officers and stakeholders before the season to seek redress through the proper procedure and made referee complaint forms available to all clubs.
Clubs must seek redress by filling out the form, stating the time, incident, culprits, and submitting it to the match review panel within 48 hours of the match.
The match review panel will review the performance of the referee or match official and issue a decision on such incident.
Clubs, players and officials are urged to use appropriate processes to address all complaints rather than resorting to commenting against match officials after the match.
