Match summary – King Faisal 1-0 Inter Allies:
We were beaten once again on the road, losing 1-0 to King Faisal at Ohene Ameyaw Park in Techiman to clear the league game of week 4.
Samuel Kusi left the locals late in the 86th minute to score the first points of the season for King Faisal.
Henrik Lehm made a trade to the team that beat Hearts of Oak 1-0 last week with Collins Kudjoe replacing the injured Richmond Lamptey.
The home team had our former defender Pius Baffour Awuah at the heart of their defense and it quickly unsettled our young attackers.
Faisal had dominated the early stages but had little chance to score, however we were very solid at the rear with Isah and Hashmin leading the way.
Collins Kudjoe, after passing two defenders in the box, fluffed his chance with a side shot from close range after a quarter of an hour of play.
That was the closest we got to the back of the net, ten minutes later he was also pushed into the area with penalty claims but the referee didn’t want any of that.
After recess, Faisal showed that they loved him more, they kept asking questions from different angles but our goalkeeper Rashid Seidu came between them and the goal.
After several approaches and blows, King Faisal broke the deadlock, Samuel Kusi was quick in the area to break our hearts in a close-range melee.
They stood their ground until the final whistle, Pius Baffour Awuah was named NASCO Man of the match.
