Manchester United Transfer Summary: Jesse Lingard Future Update, Paulo Dybala Talks – Ghana Latest Football News, Live Score, Results

[ad_1]

Manchester United won again on the road at West Ham, but their performance in the first half shows that improvements are still needed.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer missed several of his main goals in the summer.

That has left holes in his United squad and could address them in the January transfer window.

The Norwegian also must consider what to do with some of his players who remain on the periphery of his squad.

Jesse Lingard has been linked to a pullout, while Diogo Dalot has walked away for the season as he aims to come back and push for a starting spot.

Here are the latest transfer rumors coming out of Old Trafford.

Future of the Lingard contract

Manchester United are ready to extend Jesse Lingard’s contract despite the midfielder barely presenting this period.

The 27-year-old has found opportunities hard to come by at Old Trafford, making just two appearances this season.

He has been linked to a move away from Manchester as he seeks more playing time.

Lingard has less than 12 months to execute his current contract, but United are ready to exercise an option that will keep him on their books for another year.

It means they’ll be able to get a fee back instead of watching the player leave for nothing, The Star reports.

A trade overseas has been touted, while Scottish duo Celtic and Rangers have been credited with interest.

Dalot improvements abroad

Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot has explained how he is improving with head coach Stefano Pioli during his stint with AC Milan.

Portuguese full-back Dalot was sent to San Siro on loan for one season and his chances at United were expected to be limited.

“It’s great to learn the tactics of the game here in Italy,” he quoted from the Manchester Evening News.

“Having a coach close to the player who always tries to teach and explain is great. Our relationship is not just coach-players. This helps me improve.”

Cast of Dybala

Paulo Dybala has been linked again with a move to the Premier League.

The Juventus star was reportedly of interest to Tottenham and United recently, but ended up staying in Turin.

However, talks have broken down over a new deal at Allianz Stadium and each club in the “big six” has been offered 90 minutes.

Dybala could even move as soon as the January transfer window, as his future at the Serie A champions remains at stake.
