Manchester United are willing to spend up to £ 130 million to sign Erling Haaland this summer, according to reports. The Norwegian international is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s main transfer target at Old Trafford. But getting it will not be easy, with Barcelona and Real Madrid also eager to sign him.
Manchester United are determined to win the race for Haaland this summer.
The 20-year-old has been in top form this season, scoring 31 goals in the Bundesliga and Champions League combined.
United have seen Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood fail this period and as a result they are determined to bring in Haaland.
Barcelona are also in the frame, however, with the Catalan giants still looking for a replacement for Luis Suárez.
And Sport claims the Catalan giants believe the Red Devils are willing to pay up to £ 130 million to bring Haaland to Old Trafford at the end of the season.
That would make him the most expensive signing in club history, spending the £ 89m they paid to re-sign Paul Pogba in the summer 2016 transfer window.

Barcelona, meanwhile, is hopeful that Haaland will move to the Camp Nou to play alongside Messi.
However, they fear that both United and Manchester City are too financially strong and need both clubs to drop out of the race to have a chance to reach a deal.
And what ultimately happens remains to be seen.
In the event United miss Haaland for the second time in 18 months, the Red Devils have several alternatives under consideration.
Andre Silva is in his sights, with the AC Milan striker currently flourishing on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany.

Meanwhile, speaking on Friday, Solskjaer refused to open up about Haaland, insisting that the 20-year-old would make a decision regarding his next club.
“I’m concentrating on the next two months and whatever happens in the world of football, there are so many places that anyone can go,” Solskjaer said.
“My focus is on those who are here and, although I worked with Erling, it is not right for me as Manchester United manager to talk about Erling; he will make his own decisions.
“I think the way the world works right now, you would like to do all your business in silence and all your conversations in silence, but there are platforms everywhere.
“The news and the media make it more difficult. Hopefully we can suddenly sit here with players that no one has written about.
“We conduct our business of recruiting, scouting, the players we care about, we do it the right way, I hope and feel.”
Former United star Rio Ferdinand believes Haaland should be his old team’s number one transfer target and would be the ticket back to the top for Solskjaer’s team.
“You know what, they have to go and give everything to get Haaland, I don’t care,” said the six-time Premier League winner.
“I don’t like to talk about players coming from other teams, but this man we cannot afford to let this man go anywhere else.
“His only destination is England, that’s the only place he goes. If you go anywhere else, I would be very surprised.
“Born here, born and raised. Obviously he loves English football, his father played here. I am sure it is one of his dreams to come and play in England.
“Why not in the red jersey at Old Trafford? Be the guy who returns trophies to Man United and makes up for the successful period. Be that guy. “
