Manchester United fans were very happy to see their loaned star Diogo Dalot perform so well for AC Milan.
The Italian giants were playing in the Europa League on Thursday night and they beat their opponents thanks to the young winger.
Dalot was sent to Milan temporarily in the hope of getting regular minutes at a high level so that he could continue his development.
The Portuguese defender saw his progress at United stalled after a series of injuries linked to the arrival of Aaron Wan-Bissaka at Old Trafford.
Many thought Dalot’s loan meant it was the end for him and that he would have no future with the Red Devils, but that’s far from it.
Diogo Dalot’s game in numbers against Sparta Prague:
100% completed crosses
89% passing accuracy
3 interceptions
2/2 tickets
1 assist
1 goal

Diogo Dalot already has a goal and an assist tonight for AC Milan. Good to see him prove himself and start off right. He still has a lot more to give at United!

Manchester United have long insisted that Dalot has a future at the club and that is why they refused to include an option for Milan to buy him.
Wan-Bissaka, Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Brandon Williams are all capable of playing right back, so there was hardly any room for the former Porto player.
During United’s fantastic 5-0 win over RB Leipzig, Axel Tuanzebe also came on right back for a while, proving how difficult it would have been for Dalot to get enough minutes.
Hopefully he can continue to improve in Italy and show that he has the right to be at Old Trafford next season.
