Crystal Palace kicked off their Premier League campaign with an impressive win over one of the teams in form at the end of last season in Southampton.
The Saints ended the 2019/20 season with a seven-game unbeaten streak and had won the last two meetings between the teams at Selhurst Park.
However, one goal from Wilfried Zaha was enough to seal Palace’s three points against Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team is not in action this weekend after their continued participation in the Europa League at the end of last season.
And their preparations are not exactly going to plan, with United losing a preseason friendly against Aston Villa this afternoon.
Dean Smith’s team beat the Red Devils 1-0 at Villa Park in their last friendly before the start of the new season, with new signing Ollie Watkins scoring the only goal of the game.
Many United fans were furious in their final warm-up game of the season, with Palace looming on the horizon.
Rron_ldn : “Our beloved club is in the mud.”
Viiro : “It’s going to be a long season ahead …”
Alex Holland : “I hope this United team is not our first team.”
Adam : “Okay, it was just a warm-up game.”
Boy : “Our second 11 is total garbage, who would have thought.”
Utd_Shane : “Soon the tenth place will arrive with 0 trophies.”
Palace has been struggling with a series of injuries, but Roy Hodgson gave a hint of positive news for the United clash.
“I think Jairo Riedewald’s injury is a muscle strain,” Hodgson told reporters. “Normally when we have a muscle strain, it’s a grade three with the tendon involved and it leaves people out for months; we don’t think it will keep Jairo out for that long.
“We will have another week working with Michy and Eberechi Eze, which will also be a huge advantage for us. There is talk that Christian Benteke will come back and join us in training at the end of the week. I think it probably means it will be too soon. to participate in the game.
“Sakho, who had a training session on Friday, which was not as difficult as it was the day before a match. He will train with the rest of us on Monday, so he will have another week of work behind him.
“So he’s gradually improving in that regard, but we will still have five or six players unavailable and another two or three who need more work and playing time.”
