Manchester United enters the race for Thiago Alcántara
According to Norwegian reporter Fredrik AN Filtvedt of Dagbladet TV (h / t The Sun), Manchester United have entered the race for Thiago Alcantara.
The 29-year-old’s contract at Bayern Munich will expire next summer. Seems ready to go after leading The Reds to the UEFA Champions League title earlier this month. (h / t the sun)
Liverpool, his archrival, is currently leading the race for the Spaniard. Bayern boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge expects to receive an offer for the £ 27 million-rated midfielder in the coming days. (h / t the sun)

A player who is capable of unlocking defenses, the midfielder would be a quality addition to United’s midfield. Thiago was strongly linked with us in 2013. Seven years later, little seems to have changed.
Later, the midfielder did not convince coach David Moyes and chose to sign Marouane Fellaini. Since then, Thiago has scoffed at the decision while still being the star of the German champions.
Signing Thiago would not only make us stronger, it would also prevent Liverpool from getting stronger. Jurgen Klopp’s side is a formidable unit with a mix of youth and experience. Adding Thiago to that combination would make them more daunting opponents.
