Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has received information to call Aliou Traore after his loan deal with Stade Malherbe Caen ends. The 19-year-old joined the Ligue 2 squad during the summer transfer window. And great things are expected of the teenager at Old Trafford.
Manchester United have several gems in their academy today.
Willy Kambwala has already impressed for the club after his arrival on the day of the transfer deadline, and the youngster has been compared to Raphael Varane.
Hannibal Mejbri has been touted as the next big hit that has blossomed since his own move from Monaco last year.
And United also has high hopes for Joe Hugill, Charlie McNeill, Álvaro Fernández, Marc Jurado and Alejandro Garnacho in the long run.
Another player who has shone at the youth level so far is Traore.
And now, former United star Ben Thornley has expressed his belief that Solskjaer will turn to the teenager once his loan stint with Stade Malherbe Caen is over.

“They are a very young team but they have had some positive results. Neil Wood and Nicky Butt are doing a great job and there will be a lot more to come from them throughout the season. “
Thornley also believes United have great prospects in Anthony Elanga.
“In soccer in general, the old-fashioned extreme has slowly died out with the many systems teams use,” he said.
“You rarely see people playing 4-4-2, and even when they do, you’re not talking one winger on one side and winger on the other.
“But I always feel that you have to bring to the club those players who are going to give you that breadth and emotion, someone who will get you out of your seat.

“Facundo Pellistri was on the bench against PSG, and Amad Diallo at Atalanta cannot affect the club at all until he arrives in January.
“But we have similar players and wingers at the academy, certainly one I’d like to mention in Anthony Elanga.
“I have seen Anthony this season in the U23. He has a breakneck pace, two big feet and can score a goal.
“I don’t think it will be long until I knock on the door of the first team and people will get a glimpse of the talent we have in those kinds of positions.
“With the addition of Traore and Pellistri, from whom I’ve heard a lot of great things, it will give Manchester United that extra dimension to be able to play with a different kind of system.”
