The Paul Pogba saga is nowhere near its conclusion as it continues to be linked to a departure from Manchester United.
Mino Raiola claimed his clients’ time at Old Trafford had “ended” earlier this week.
Juventus is one of the clubs most closely linked to his signature before a possible exchange.
It’s no secret that United had a poor transfer window missing several of their key goals.
This has been a running theme with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seeing multiple players slip through his fingers.
Erling Haaland is a high-profile example and Manchester City are now expressing interest in the player.
Here are the latest transfer rumors coming out of Old Trafford.
The failed change of Pogba from Juve
Manchester United turned down Juventus’ offer to trade Paul Pogba for Miralem Pjanic and Douglas Costa last summer, according to a report from Italy.
Juventus are among the favorites to re-sign Pogba after superagent Mino Raiola claimed earlier this week that his client’s time at Old Trafford had “ended”.
The Serie A champions are reportedly exploring a sensational trade deal that would see Pogba return to Turin and Cristiano Ronaldo join United.
But this isn’t the first proposed swap deal between the two European giants after they submitted an exchange offer last summer failing to match Pogba’s £ 92m valuation.
Battle United and City do Haaland
Manchester United and Manchester City will fight for the signing of Erling Haaland in the summer transfer window.
United have long been linked to Haaland, while City are following the prolific Borussia Dortmund striker as they consider targets once Sergio Aguero leaves the Etihad.
Haaland, 20, is among the most exciting talents in Europe, having scored 33 goals in 32 games since joining Dortmund in January.
United thought they had the forward before joining the German team, but their list of fans continues to grow.
Italian Cavani offerings
Edinson Cavani turned down offers from Juventus and Inter Milan before joining United, he revealed.
The forward was a free agent in the summer after leaving PSG and moved to Old Trafford for free.
He’s already made a big impact with a match-winning display in Southampton.
And he admits that his history with Napoli, his former employer, meant he turned down opportunities to return to Italy.
Explaining his decision, he told MondoNapoli: “I will always be grateful [Napoli fans]. That’s why I said no to many Italian clubs, including Juventus, who called me often, and also to Inter. “
