The Premier League returned at the weekend and was capped off by a seven-goal thriller between Liverpool and Leeds United.
Burnley, however, won’t be back on the field until next Sunday when they travel to Leicester City, giving them extra time to pack bodies at Turf Moor.
With the season here, clubs will want to conclude their transfer transactions as quickly as possible as they look to start the season with the strongest team possible.
However, the start of the season doesn’t mean the transfer business will end, as clubs have until mid-October to finish shaping their squad.
With that said, here are the latest Premier League transfer rumors.
Man Utd will look for Bale as an alternative to Sancho
Manchester United will launch for Gareth Bale if they continue to be frustrated in their search for Jadon Sancho.
With Borussia Dortmund playing hard on goal Sancho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team is ready to offer Bale an escape route from his nightmare at Real Madrid.
The Wales star is believed to be available on a permanent transfer for around £ 22 million, and Madrid is feeling the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
But it is understood that United will seek a loan, with Madrid sharing the cost of Bale’s £ 600,000 per week wages.
While such a move wouldn’t be a huge upfront expense, the expense in wages would likely mean the club would end its interest in Burnley’s star, Dwight McNeil.
Moyes in Tarky
David Moyes is unsure whether West Ham will return with a third offer for James Tarkowski and admits the Hammers are unlikely to pay £ 50m for the Burnley defender.
Burnley on Thursday turned down a second £ 30 million offer from West Ham for the England international.
Burnley manager Sean Dyche said earlier this week that the Clarets are not under pressure to sell and Moyes is unsure whether West Ham will be able to meet their asking price, which is believed to be in the region of £ 50 million.
When asked if that would be too much for West Ham, Moyes said: “I would have to say it, in this market and in this window I would.”
Napoli’s Koulibaly stance
Napoli coach Gennaro Gattuso has maintained that Kalidou Koulibaly will remain in Italy unless his assessment is met.
The defender has drawn a lot of attention with both Manchester clubs linked.
“Koulibaly has a precise asking price, and if the club doesn’t get the money it asks for, it won’t leave,” Gattuso said. Sky Sport Italia.
