🚨 Man United Player of the Month Nominees for December

Manchester United have chosen three players to fight for the December Player of the Month award.

The Red Devils have been the fittest team in the Premier League all month, with impressive performances taking them to second place in the table.

However, they had a disappointing campaign in Europe, as losses to PSG and RB Leipzig led them to leave the Champions League and enter Europe.

United also advanced to the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup after beating Everton 2-0, where they meet neighboring Manchester City.

Back in the Premier League, Ole Gunnar’s men claimed victories against West Ham United, Sheffield United, Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers, and secured draws with Manchester City and Leicester City.

Overall, the team has been impressive, but three players stood out and will be fighting for the Player of the Month award.

Bruno fernandes

Possibly the best Man United player of 2020, the midfielder has been a revelation. It has been the best and delivered week after week.

The Portuguese starred in every game in which he appeared, starting with a 3-1 win over West Ham when he came on as a substitute to help the Reds come back from a goal against.

He then scored twice against Leeds in a 6-2 win, before shining once against King Power Stadium on Boxing Day.

He’s aiming to win the award for the sixth time out of nine and has every chance of beating the other two.

Fred

The Brazilian has become an influential figure at Old Trafford and one of Ole Gunnar’s most trusted generals.

He picked a red card against PSG in the Champions League that saw him miss the game against Leipzig, but he has been a mainstay in the Reds’ midfield all month.

He was particularly impressive against Leeds, playing alongside Scott McTominay.

Key statistic: Fred completed more passes (35) and regained possession more frequently (10 times) than any other Red during Leeds’ win, while none of United’s players had more tackles (five) or blocks (two).

Marcus rashford

Rashford’s goal against the Wolves on Tuesday night in injury time gave United all three points and underscored their importance to the team.

Like Fernandes, Rashford has been one of the bright lights at Old Trafford, scoring key goals when it mattered most.

He also scored a double at Bramall Lane and was on the Boxing Day roster against Leicester, which was also his 50th goal in the Premier League.

Key statistic: Only Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo have scored half a century of Premier League goals for United at a younger age than Rashford.
