Manchester City celebrate going up front against Wolves

Manchester City host the Wolves tonight with the aim of extending their winning streak to 21 games in all competitions. Doing so would lift Pep Guardiola’s team 15 points above their closest rivals Manchester United and into a dominant position to regain the title against Liverpool, although they will have played one more match in the chasing group after tonight’s match. .
However, it is not a foregone conclusion against a visiting Wolves team that have found form in recent weeks, going five games without losing, including victories over Arsenal, Southampton and Leeds. Nuno Espirito Santo appears to have found a way to play that suits his squad despite the continued absence of key forward Raúl Jiménez, who is not yet fit to play after a head injury earlier in the season. Nuno will need some great performances on the counterattack from Adama Traore and the constantly impressive Pedro Neto to achieve a surprising result tonight.

It really wasn’t much of the middle, to be honest.
The first 45 minutes consisted of City having the ball and trying to knock down the visitors. However, as noted above, even though Guardiola’s team had 75% possession in that first half, Wolves stopper Rui Patricio wasn’t exactly busy for the half.
City hasn’t given Wolves outfield players a moment to breathe when they get the ball, choking them high in their own half.
Nuno Espirito Santo will definitely be the happier of the two coaches at halftime. The wolves are still somehow in this game.
