Former President John Mahama has spoken for the first time after the polls closed in the 2020 elections.

In a statement on his official Facebook page, Mahama, who is the NDC’s presidential candidate, thanked his supporters for coming out to vote today.

According to him, the results that he and the NDC are receiving from around the country are very good so far.

However, he asked his followers to stay tuned through the compilation of results so that they roared to the end.

John Mahama seeks to return to power as president of Ghana to complete a second four-year term.

As previously reported by YEN.com.gh, the standard bearer of the Democratic National Congress, NDC, John Dramani Mahama has cast his vote in Bole in the Upper East region.

After casting his vote, he was surrounded by some residents in the center, chanting and cheering the mantra ‘Mahama afa’, indicating that he had won the polls in advance.

Speaking to the media after casting his votes, he noted how effective the COVID-19 protocols were implemented.
